Bridgegate, a development in the Louth town of Ardee, has attracted first-time buyers from Dublin who can work from home and are on a budget, according to the selling agent.

The scheme is situated on an elevated site south of the town centre, where it commands views of the surrounding countryside. Bridgegate is nearing the end of its second phase, with 12 terraced, end-of-terrace and semi-detached homes currently on release.

Prices in the latest tranche start at €230,000 for a three-bed home. There is one four-bed end-of-terrace house for sale at €285,000 and one four-bed detached property that costs from €315,000.

The houses have a white rendered façade, a pale-brick detail over the UPVC windows, and a grey composite front door. Inside, there is a custom-fitted kitchen and wardrobes to the bedrooms.

The A3-rated homes have a high-efficiency gas-condensing boiler for the central heating system, while PV panels generate free electricity to supplement household power consumption. Viewings are by appointment.
