Among the purchasers drawn of late to Bridgegate, a development in the Louth town of Ardee, are first-time buyers from Dublin who can work from home, yet want to remain within a commutable distance from the capital.

Bridgegate is situated on an elevated site south of Ardee town centre, where it commands views of the surrounding countryside. Richmond Homes launched the scheme last year and a series of phases have followed.

The latest phase was released in September, with prices starting at €205,000 for a two-bed mid-terraced home, rising to €215,000 for an end-of-terrace style. The starting price for the three-beds is €240,000 for a semi-detached house type, climbing to €245,000 for a three-bed semi-detached bungalow. The most expensive design available is the three-bed detached version, which costs from €255,000.
